WFCA Office:
|
As a Commissioner, you are eligible for coverage under the WFCA
Benefit Program if your fire district is participating in the
program. The plans that
are available to you are described below.
You can choose to enroll under medical-only or dental-only or both
medical & dental as long as your district is offering those programs
to active employees. If
your district does not have any program-eligible employees, please
contact Trusteed Plans Service Corporation for additional
information.
Commissioners are eligible for the following WFCA Medical plans:
PPO-Plus, PPO-100, PPO-300, and HD-1250.
If you are enrolled in one of these plans, you will be
covered for $2,000 of Core Life benefits and you will have access to
a 24-hour Nurseline.
Commissioners are eligible for the same Dental plan that your
district provides to active employees.
Former Commissioners who meet certain criteria are eligible for the
WFCA Retiree Medical plan; or, the WFCA Retiree Medical/Dental plan.
There is no coverage for Dental-only.
Commissioners must pay the premium for medical and/or dental
coverage. A
commissioner can only enroll once – if coverage is dropped, the
commissioner cannot re-enroll.
Commissioners are also eligible for the same Basic Life coverage
that your district has chosen to provide its active employees.
Contact your District Administrator for information.
